Rotoworx DIVA/VDP
Rotoworx DIVA is a Digital Varnish print engine which offers the unique ability to produce different gloss finish with one single fluid in one single pass – a first in the industry. DIVA is a 13” (330 mm) wide print module with the main purpose to apply spot varnishing on pre-printed materials. This completely digital printing process enables customers to produce special effects, such as textures and even tactile elements whereby the surface can be variable from label-to-label.
DIVA™ is THE solution for this application in a short-run environment and is available as an original configuration module for the Rotoworx® 330 Finishing System in a standard and high speed version of up to 50 m/min (157 ft/min).
Rotoworx® 330 can also be equipped with a VDP print module with dedicated VDP software. Both, DIVA and VDP print modules can also be field upgraded at already installed Rotoworx® 330 machines.

Precision
The inkjet application process is highly accurate allowing to apply the coating with a precision of 10 micron.
Embossing/tactile effect
More fluid can be applied (thicker layer) than with conventional processes. This is very desirable in many applications for enhanced image effects.
Multiple effects
It is possible to create different effects (matte, gloss etc.) in one process step – using only one fluid.
Reduced set-up time
There is no special set-up time for change from one job which requires a gloss finish to another which requires matte finish, allowing the printers to offer spot varnishing on short runs.
Variable Data
The DIVA™ module can also be combined with the VDP controller (also available as a separate module for the Rotoworx® 330) – meaning that fully variable data (such as barcodes, serial numbers, names, addresses etc.) can be printed with the varnish fluid or in monochrome (black) color.
